Yes, but they've been doing that ever since Mr. Bush was elected. 
They've become big spenders, big government, and nationalists - all
things that violate their *former* ideology.

"Former" is the key because I believe we're seeing a major shift in
the demographics of the parties.  It used to be that manual labor
called the DNC home, but I think that's switching to the Republicans
due to labor being more concerned with taxes than unions.  You often
hear the terms "elites" and "limousine liberals".

The rich, on the other hand, are moving from the Republicans to the
Democrats.  This is due to the DNC appearing to be "smarter" and the
party of moderation.

Of course all of these things are in flux, but I believe those are the
clear trends.
