I think there is a place for euthanasia, though it makes me uneasy to
say so. Perhaps I mean assisted suicide. I mean, look at your
grandmother. If she has all of her marbles, is going to die anyway,
and wants to die sooner in a more dignified and less painful manner ,
why should anyone stop her?

There are several dangers though -- how to judge that someone has made
a rational decision, as opposed to being suicidal due to treatable
depression? And when people start making these decisions for other
people, then the red flags really pop up.
