My son just got home from school - apparently it was "Lead Awareness" day or
something.

He brought home a "goody bag" of things promoting lead poisoning awareness.
A t-shirt, a ruler, a comic/coloring book, stickers, a button, etc. Several
things suggested that you should test your house for lead paint using
inexpensive testing kits available at any hardware store.

All I could think was "could they have spent the same amount of (or less)
money and just sent home a lead testing kit?" Last I remember buying one it
was a helluva lot cheaper than a t-shirt.
