No - we have fiber lines on the poles (well, the main poles), but copper to
the home.  DSL would require copper to the head-end and that we don't got.
;^)

They've not taken that last (and most expensive) step.

Once FTP becomes available (in my area most likely through Verizon) I'll
proably jump - but it will depend on cost.  Even as much as I use things now
I never saturate my Comcast downstream pipe (the upstream pipe is a
different story...)
