I have a friend who has a samoyed. He is very sweet and fun but not very
well
trained. His name is Shamu and he is quite large and hairy. He gets haircuts
in
the summertime because it is so hot here. He looks very cute.

Did some diggign on my own..and good grief!

They make these dogs sound like...well..the best darn breed on the
planet! :)

And I've never heard of them before today. I can see I was mixing them
up with the dogs we see pulling sleds on Discovery channel etc. which
must be some other breed since their coats can be black and other
colors.

Nice animal..anyone interested in dogs/animals should check this breed
out.

What are these dogs used for?
Are they just cute run-around home dogs..
or were they bred to pull the sleds and stuff?

And if all of them are white..what is the Red,Blue,Purple etc. pedigree
about? I kicked myself after clicking Blue and feeling disappointed that
the dog's coat wasn't well...a little blue, when I considered the other
colors on that list ^_^
