I wrote this just for the hell of it and sent it off: Ms. Morris, While you have a right to your faith, you don't have a right to arbitrarily define science. Proof of a theory is derived through a convergence of evidence from numerous lines of inquiry which point to a singular conclusion. Evolution is such a theory. While every one of its mechanisms is not understood (for example, is DNA the deterministic mechanism of evolution or do RNA and/ or the environment play a role?), every line of factual inquiry proves its validity. Nineteenth-century English social scientist Herbert Spencer made this prescient observation: "Those who cavalierly reject the Theory of Evolution, as not adequately supported by facts, seem quite to forget that their own theory is supported by no facts at all." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:160882 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
