I quoted from the poll which said that while belief in violence was
down, hatred of other religions, regardless of one's own, is strong.

America has a freedom of religion at present but there are forces in
the Whitehouse and the south that would seek to change that.  I was
editorializing that should the President continue to bend to the will
of far right Christians, America will become a Christian ghetto rather
than a melting pot of religions.
