Okee dokee.

I guess the person I hear the "you must hate Bush" argument from the most is
old Rush. I would consider him "single minded", as opposed to simple minded.
(but then, maybe single minded is a subset of simple minded :)

I'm just not sure that's always, or even usually, true. If a person has done
some thinking, they've come to the same conclusions that Rush/Sean/Fox and
company have come too....then you can certainly argue that they are wrong,
but you can't accuse them of simply regurgitating talking points. I mean,
this is the kind of argument Rush uses ALL the time, "they are just
regurgitating the same old liberal playbook...." He says that 3 or 4 times a
day.

While some may do this, I like to think the majority don't. (on both sides)

Turning to insults or veiled threats immediately invalidates someone to me,
and in turn their argument. But as for your example, I know that you and I
don't think that invading Iraq has helped fight terrorism, but I don't think
people who make rational arguments for the contrary are necessarily "simple
minded".

I hope it takes you more than 2 or 3 seconds. People who make their mind up
that quickly haven't given the issue near enough thought, and are probably
being led by a bias.
