Well, there are new power supplies that allow you to only connect cables
that you need.

You can also go with dual channel ram, which is pretty cool also.

I've got an AMD 64 bit proc running Windows XP 64 bit with 1GB of dual
channel ram. File operations and a lot of things run great.

Looks like I get hit with a pretty bad power surge.  Quote, "Popped the
capacitors" of my motherboard.  So, I am at least getting a new
motherboard and power supply, possible a new CPU and Memory depending on
how much damage the surge did.

Are there any particularly cool features of a power supply, motherboard,
CPU and/or memory that I might want to consider looking for?
