Well, there are new power supplies that allow you to only connect cables that you need.
You can also go with dual channel ram, which is pretty cool also. I've got an AMD 64 bit proc running Windows XP 64 bit with 1GB of dual channel ram. File operations and a lot of things run great. -----Original Message----- From: Ian Skinner [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, August 05, 2005 5:58 PM To: CF-Community Subject: If you where replacing the heart of your computer... Looks like I get hit with a pretty bad power surge. Quote, "Popped the capacitors" of my motherboard. So, I am at least getting a new motherboard and power supply, possible a new CPU and Memory depending on how much damage the surge did. Are there any particularly cool features of a power supply, motherboard, CPU and/or memory that I might want to consider looking for? -------------- Ian Skinner Web Programmer BloodSource www.BloodSource.org Sacramento, CA "C code.
