you know... I was against invading Iraq, and took plenty of heat for that at the time. Once the invasion took pace, I reluctantly said well, we broke it so we bought it. But what I am wondering is whether we have not kept on breaking it. Here's the heart of the matter - these "insurgents" - are they really anti-democracy and anti-progress, or just anti-American? If the latter, continued American presence in Iraq is just a waste of good soldiers.
However, there is no way that I can see to determine this short of withdrawal. Lack of intelligence compounded by stupidity compounded by an arrogant refusal by this administration to listen to those who did know have created a beautiful lose-lose scenario, thank you very much Mr Dickface Bush. I am beyond disgusted and have been for some time.
