I think it had something to do with the fact that Russia had nukes. In
many cases the US can kick ass with a country that cannot strike back,
but like a school yard bully, won't do the same to another who can
effectively stand up for itself.

That's why I suspect that neither NK or Iran will be attacked by the US.
