And my point is, how does how much Israel contributed come into this?

Also, check the lists that Larry posted. It seems that Israel is most
certainly included in the list of countries pledging aid!

So your point ,using Israel as some example of Media Bias in this
instance,is moot.

Your scope also appears to be limited to US Media. I've been watching
British and other media channels that are available to us here in
Trinidad and there has been a very wide scope of opinions and analysis
of the situation in the United States. And they all point to it not
being good, even those who try to put a positive spin on things like
the FEMA Spokesperson last night, talking about 11,000 people saved
and then talking about New Orleans as being an area larger than Great
Britain. Which when you place it in the perspective of over 1/4 of New
Orleans population is under the poverty line, and you factor the
population this represents who would have been left behind and now
suffering the effects of Katrina..that figure is pathetically small.

The BBC also took calls from all over the world last night on a talk
show with US representatives present and answering the questions.
Great program, very informative.

FEMA said it was the local government to blame, the Federal guy said
that they were doing the best they could, and that it would take a
while to sort out what went wrong.

But everyone seems to admit that something DID go wrong.

You say the CEO of the company is not responsible for a major failure
in a highly important department of the company. For example if a
failure in the IT department causes a loss in productivity and
increased costs in all other deparments (Gas prices for starters
anyone?), I think the CEO would step in on day One.

I think the shareholders of that company would strongly disagree that
he is not responsible for anything. At the very least the CEO better
have some credible answers, show himself to be taking charge of the
failing situation and FIX it, and deal with whomever *IS* responsible.
Otherwise he has no business being CEO.
