1.) Don't ask anyone to do anything you wouldn't do yourself. 2.) When you lead, all successes are due to your team, all failures are due to you. 3.) When a leader realizes there's a better one, he/she steps down. These are the reasons why I hold Mr. Bush responsible. I've already detailed how I would've handled the situation and I'm confident that my solution would've avoided much of the suffering Mr. Bush's solution, or lack thereof, didn't. For that reason he's failed. It was quite obvious to anyone watching local news that the federal relief effort was failing. That is the point when Mr. Bush should've personally taken over, or appointed someone else to. He didn't. That makes all of the failures resulting from that lack of leadership his fault. Mike makes a fair point: if we're doing a lessons-learned there's a lot of holes starting at the local level. But the final failsafe is Mr. Bush, and he failed to protect his citizens. That's a failure of leadership, period. You have lower standards, that's your choice, but I expect more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:172649 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
