That was a shockingly well thought out, well written piece. Except for the line quoted above. I'm not against a policy that forwards anything condemned in the Bible; in fact, that has nothing to do with it. You're latching on to a Conservative Christian talking point when I don't know anyone that feels that way. The point with Gay Marriage is that these are ADULTS, not children, not mentally challenged, not animals, not trees. These are competent adults. If adults of sound mind should decide to marry, that's their decision, not our or our culture's. If our culture isn't ready for equal rights, then it's our obligation to speak out against that injustice. If we hide behind "culture isn't ready" then we're simply cowards. That's not to say your analysis isn't correct. Much the same was true of slavery and bigotry in the South, it's was a culture thing. That will never broken, however, until people of courage challenge that culture. Clearly Mr. Bush is not a man of courage. Or he is defending inequality and discrimination. Either of these qualities should disqualify him from leading the country. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:173465 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
