So are Americans mistaken that more of their money is given to charity
through government sources (eg tax dollars going towrds 7% GDP
promised), or are they mistaken in the assumption that private
donations to charitable institutions are larger?

Surely not all charities are lumped into "government level" for the
purposes of this discusison?

So, where is the US in _total_ funds given through government level
charities rankwise, not per capita, but in amount given? where does
the US stack up, then?

what about putting that together with private donations? What is the
number then?

Is there a transcript?

Also, lets make no mistake, I _do_ think that the US should meet its
committment, I just want to be sure we're clear on the baseline.
