Was a TV show called Firefly on Fox. Fox didn't advertise, changed time slots without warning, etc. Then Fox canceled the show.
The Browncoats (nickname for rabid fans) complained loudly. Joss Whedon (the writer/director/producer/bad singer of the theme) got a movie deal cut -- the movie is Serenity (also an episode name and the name of the ship).
