My $.02 If memory serves, it was calculated that with 10% of the nukes available to the US and Russia would destroy the Earth completely (as in split the crust, thus breaking the planet open) So, what would the point be of stopping the missiles landing since the world wouldn't exist anyways? Anyone stupid enough to start a nuclear war between the "Super-Powers" would have to be a complete and utter moron!
