My wife and I both have the mini iPod and love them. At 4 GB it holds enough music for just about anyone! The Nano is experiencing some problems with the screen so I'd check into that before considering it (there is a class action lawsuit!). The mini is small enough to workout with and take biking or to work (which is what I do).
