Funny how you complain about public schools. However you withdrew from
them. Because fo that do you have a right to complain about them? I
think you're letting your prejudices rule what you see.

The data is very strong about parental involvement. Studies using  the
NORC database with 20,000 and more kids followed throughout their
school career have been more than conclusive. Kids succeed when their
parents give a damn regardless of the school, be it public or private.
The most likely reason, aside from cherry picking, that private
schools show better achievement rates is that the parents tend to be
more involved than in public schools.

As for schools not wanting parents involved. Around here they are all
but begging parents to get involved.
