This is a fallacy. Most people did not vote for George Bush in 2000. He lost the popular vote. So we've learned: The Republican party is no answer to policy problems. Neither party has answers to policy problems. The parties are the problem. Partisan politics are killing everything that is good about this country. What's need is a complete revamping of our political system: I agree, but here's my plan 1. Outlaw political parties 2. Outlaw lobbys and PAC's 3. Outlaw soft money contributions, and limit hard contributions to no more than 100 dollars per person 4. Outlaw political ads, and require networks and local stations to run true debates as part of their Public Service programming mandate 5. Limit the amount of personal wealth a candidate can spend on an election. 6. Abolish the electoral college and limit the presidency to one 6 year term 7 Require Congress to repeal 5 laws for every new law passed 8. Invoke conflict of interest rules to prevent politicians from appointing their cronies to federal jobs. 9. Reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. 10. Require all opinion to be labeled as opinion, and require truth in media. 11. Make lying to the electorate an immediate impeachable offense. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:180018 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
