My original point was that you don't have to dress up in a white hood to be a racist. Neither do you need to be a member of the BNP here. Racist exists throughout society, and in my experience it is still endemic.

Of course they don't, It has been my experience that people who are racist don't see others as equals. To some extent they don't see them as human. >Just as an aside, Beth's definition of society, whilst not the only one, >would suggest that people = society therefore if people are racist, then so >is society. But the actions and beliefs of the minority should not determine what is the norm for the society. People make up a society. We have a KKK group here, they are part of the society, but that does not make the society racist. Just because these are the people that are seen the most, it is assumed they share the views of others. This is not true, in fact what I usually see, it is the minorities that get the most exposure, because they are the ones that get on the courthouse steps and talk they are the ones that get time on the evening news. That does not mean that the society here agrees with them. ________________________________________________________________________________ Your ad could be here.
