I think many democrats voted for the authorization of force because it was the right political move at the time. Now that the war is horrible unpopular, the right political move is to try and distance themselves from it.
When you aren't the party in power, all you do is try to regain that power. You do that by playing politics. Right now thats the democrats. In a few years, it'll be the republicans. If the dems had really cared about the "right" move, they've of read all the intelligence! And i'm not just picking on the Dem's here.
