That's pure BS.

The National Guard contains all of the Combat Arms units, while the reserves
contains all of the support units.

The people that have been whining about getting deployed must not have ever
paid attention to their contract, or to all the classes about the
possibility of Federalization.

I have known guard guys that deployed to Sinai, Bosnia, Kosovo.  All over
the damned place.  Just because we hadn't been called up in large numbers
since WW2 doesn't mean that we aren't still here to serve.
