That's pure BS. The National Guard contains all of the Combat Arms units, while the reserves contains all of the support units.
The people that have been whining about getting deployed must not have ever paid attention to their contract, or to all the classes about the possibility of Federalization. I have known guard guys that deployed to Sinai, Bosnia, Kosovo. All over the damned place. Just because we hadn't been called up in large numbers since WW2 doesn't mean that we aren't still here to serve. > -----Original Message----- > From: Gruss Gott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2005 2:47 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: On a Mission From God > > > Brian wrote: > > The guys you know should have given a little more thought to just > > exactly what they were getting involved in. > > > > That having been said, the Nat'l Guard is different than, > say, the Army Reserves.
