Yeah... there's not a whole heck of a lot there. I use Talisman and love it, but not for the same purpose you're talking about so I'm not sure how well it will work for you. It's still, technically, in beta and some features don't work (for example site survey doesn't work on my version). To get any of the SVEASoft firmware files you have to pay - $20, I think, for access to the forums and tech support. You then get access, as far as I can tell, forever. Lurk in the forums a while - installation can be a pain but once you find the right guide it's easy. What will really matter is the EXACT version of the router you have. My old WRT54G (the first model) couldn't support Talisman (not enough memory), but the new one can. Some models have 4 meg, some 8 and some only 2. Also the newest model (v5 I think) doesn't support it at all as it's not Linux based. I can't speak to other options, but the SVEASoft stuff has worked great for me. Well worth the nominal fee.
