It will likely get a lot worse very quickly without surgery. I had 11 stones
in my gall bladder all the size of marbles. I would get 'indigestion' kinds of
feelings on occasion which I never attributed to anything... and then suddenly
1 day, 30 days before my surgery... it was absolutely debilitating pain. Every
night for 30 days afterward I would end up in the emergency room, where it
would take 2-3 doses of morphine by IV in order to make me stop crying. 4-6
hours later I would go home and sleep off the narcotics. It was awful.

Why didn't they take it out before that? They had to wait until a day when I
didn't have an attack, because they can't do it lapro if it is inflamed...
which would have meant an 8 inch incision and up to 2 weeks in the hospital...
so they don't like to do that.
