It will likely get a lot worse very quickly without surgery. I had 11 stones in my gall bladder all the size of marbles. I would get 'indigestion' kinds of feelings on occasion which I never attributed to anything... and then suddenly 1 day, 30 days before my surgery... it was absolutely debilitating pain. Every night for 30 days afterward I would end up in the emergency room, where it would take 2-3 doses of morphine by IV in order to make me stop crying. 4-6 hours later I would go home and sleep off the narcotics. It was awful.
Why didn't they take it out before that? They had to wait until a day when I didn't have an attack, because they can't do it lapro if it is inflamed... which would have meant an 8 inch incision and up to 2 weeks in the hospital... so they don't like to do that. >That's the weird part, other than an "attack" the Monday morning after >Thanksgiving, which landed my in the ER, I haven't had any pain, >really (there was one incident of similar pain about five years ago, I >attributed it to gas...). > >In the last few days, since coming to the realization I will probably >have the surgery I get twinges, but other than that there is no pain >to speak of. > >The doctor said I must have been living with this condition for some >time as my gall bladder is "full" of stones (5 or 6 large ones and a >bunch of small ones - I've seen the ultrasound pics, and they are >definitely there). and the wall of the gall bladdder is thickened, >indicating scar tissue and further backing the claim of longevity... > ><<sigh>> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:188169 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
