Ignorance and fear, surely that is the bottom line here. If one suggests the pilot was justified then one is giving in to that fear and ignorance. If I sit opposite an Arabic looking man on a train, should I assume he is a terrorist, or should I even think that he might be?

I think you are being a little disingenuous. And to assume motivation based solely on a racist tendency is absurd. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? No. The captain knew he was going to receive a lot of heat for this. And I don't think any other "Arab looking person" has come forward to say that they were kicked off of a plane by this guy. > -----Original Message----- > From: Jon Hall [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Friday, January 04, 2002 3:39 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: We are in big trouble > > If we are going to start kicking every Arab looking person off of > airlines, > then let's stand up and say it not hide behind the new > "profiling" buzzword. > I mean, why should we even let one of those people on board?
