Timing is everything.
I was coming back from Florida when a soldier with his M16 came over and started
proselytizing me. Now normally I like to rip
missionaries into little pieces and sprinkle them over my cereal but it was not the
proper time. He was a soldier, in an airport,
with a gun and I had a flight. If I did my normal thing of making him cry he might
have shot me or delayed me. Instead, I refuted
him politely, did not ask any questions and went on my way. It was not the proper time
or place.
It may have been the same with her. Timing is everything.
