It's tough. On one hand, yes, liveable wages are important... and I don't know what the transit folks earn in that area --but if it's anything like here, they make better money than they perhaps should for the skill level required.
By the same logic, I'm also entitled to make a liveable wage... but I don't have the right to strike if I don't feel that I'm getting it. I know it's a stressful job... but so are lots of jobs.
