i think anyone should have the right to walk off their job if they aren't happy with it. But the right to strike? I'm not convinced.
The truth depends on the job function, the union and what the employee did wrong. Unions are often silly... you can't get fired for doing -nothing- all day... but if you're 2 minutes late to work, that's it. >I think anyone should have the right to strike at any time, but I think one >of the problems with unions in general is that a worker almost cannot be >fired. I've never been a union member, so I don't know for sure, but I hear >of cases where a worker continually goofs off but the company is powerless >to fire that worker because of union and/or legal pressure. > >So does anybody know the truth on the matter? > >- Matt > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Jillian Koskie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "CF-Community" <[email protected]> >Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2005 8:56 AM >Subject: Re: Whos been walking to work past 2 days? > > >> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:188995 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
