I ran into it when I was doing tech support also. However it was a small
company, and people usually didn't go off on the first person that answered
the phone. 

This guy is *supposed* to be a professional calling a professional company,
being abusive to the receptionist is just being an asshole.

I feel sympathy for her, but I'm thinking that it goes along with the 
territory.  I ran into that when I was doing tech support - really difficult

guy, wouldn't see any faults in his own behavior.  You can't do anything 
about it except realize that the guy isn't mad at you, he's mad at the 
situation.
