How hard is it to shut your thought processes down at night, stress makes it
incredibly hard to sleep....

I know it can be a real problem... but my problem is that I don't feel
rested after my regular amount of sleep. My problem is that I can't fall
asleep to begin with. :)

I'll monitor it... but assuming my inability to fall asleep means I have a
sleep disorder seems to me like saying 'I have a headache, it could be a
tumor.'

Of course it could be... but it's really most likely not. :)
