The night at the hospital was some 40 year old guy hooking me up to a bunch of wires and monitoring me through the night. The creepy part was that the room had an infrared camera and sound monitoring so he was listening to me at all times and could watch me anytime he wanted.
The in home test was an oxygen sensor attached to my index finger while I slept at night. It recorded oxygen saturation levels. The levels would naturally drop when I stopped breathing. That data was used to see if there was need for the overnight study at the hospital. No nurses, self administered.
