No - she'll just eat till she blows out her stomach. Dogs are silly like that. Kind of like me at a bar. :)
Anyways, I remember feeding her 1 cup three times a day when she was a pup, now we've scaled it back to 3/4 cup twice a day, and we mix in 1/2 can green beans with that (vet induced weight control diet, she's a little fatso - but she's my fatso. :) ). When do you have your vet appt? They'd prolly be able to tell you best, based on the temperament, breed, etc. And, yea, my dog is quite a fat-looking puppy, but she's really active, we play ball three times a day, and she rarely gets fatty treats, mostly carrots and apples and rawhides (0 calories, approved by our vet). I don't think with the look of your pup that you'll have to worry about weight control though. My wife commented that she looks like she is a lab/Wem cross. If that's the case, she's prolly gonna be one smart, active dog.
