What's the problem? They aren't asking to identify people, just search patterns to determine if the child filters are working. This means children doing harmless searches that get tricked into going to porn sites that the filters miss. Whitehouse.com comes to mind. All the other search engines complied, Google decide to make a public fuss about it. What's really scary is what Google does know and store about there users.
