It's a solid plug... basically looks like regular jewellery except completely clear.
I asked and apparantly my sister has used them when she has gone for job interviews and at a glance or from any distance they aren't at all noticeable in your nose... but I'm sure with a lot of inspection they would be. >We will ask about the retainer.
