Well, everyone knows the rules. I don't feel bad for you if you lose something like that. And there is no reason it's not an option. You can always leave the security line and come back. Poor planning is no excuse.
I'm through the airport 2 - 3 times a week. I can't stand waiting in line for some jackass who can't listen to what the TSA is saying.
