Maybe you are. My dad's era has some major issues - like that fact that he
can't get health care without driving several hours and that he can't get an
appointment for 6 months, and he's one of the lucky ones.

I'm sorry you're dealing with that. And, I appreciate that you put your life
on the line for my rights. What I don't know is how to say thank you to
soldiers as a group without appearing as though I condone a war I disagree
with. How do you honor the soldiers and abhor the war? I don't have a
solution.

Listen, we should stand behind those that are willing to serve.  Most of the

I never said you had a moral choice. I said I don't agree with his stance
that it's  the soldier's fault. It's my fault for not being more politically
active. It's my fault for not convincing enough people in power that war
isn't the answer.
