It's the catch-22 of insurance. everybody pays, some use more benefits
than others.

It's kind of like paying property taxes, a portion of which goes to
fund public programs like schools. If you don't have kids, you could
argue that your taxes should be lowered, as no one in your household
is using the schools, right? The argument would generally fall on deaf
ears, same as arguing whether or not _my_ insurance dollars should got
to cover _your_ wife's maternity, or your knee surgery, or your money
going to pay for my wife's knee surgery or my son's appendectomy.
