umm... the politics of the stiff-arm. yes, bipartisan indeed. Nah, really I asked as the sitting president and both houses o'congress are in the firm clutches of the the right. They were then and they are now. While I'm sure you're right and there were lots of Dems that supported this measure, you cannot escape the fact that given a House and Senate majority and a presidency that this is a right-leaning measure.
