Why? What would make them neccessarily allies? The fact that they
understand the technology?

And even if they were allies, does that neccesitate they will be
allies tomorrow? What about Iran, they used to be close allies.

And even if we could guarentee they will always be allies, do we share
the same level of security trust with all allies?

And if we do, aren't there some things we just don't want even close
allies to be handling for us? Why don't we let them run our elections?
Heck, why do we even need our own military? I think Canada can take
care of all of us.
