Like I said, my response is colored by personal experiences. > Oh, and very few "ignorant fucks" become rich. They may > be insenstive assholes, but i doubt they are idiots. I think you've been around the wrong rich folks... Or maybe just not been around many rich folks in general. The guy who founded Amazon.com sued Barnes and Noble for patent infringement because they didn't put a gratuitous extra page in their shopping cart that said "PLEASE CLICK HERE OR WE WON'T RECEIVE YOUR ORDER!". It's not a patent on technology, it's a patent on behavior -- there's no legitimate technological basis for that suit, but they still won. I'm pretty sure the judge is rich and I know he's ignorant. I honestly don't believe the Amazon guy is all that bright either, all he did to get that was argue with his programmers for a few hours (not that I think his programmers were being smart either). Shit, any dickless jerk can become a millionare if they're lucky enough to have the one random thought that produces it, just ask the guy who made a triangular sign and put it on top of a taxi. Of course once you've got millions there's no reason to bother even trying to be informed anymore because you can snap your fingers and have dozens of people believing that Bob Hope was the 2nd coming of Christ because they want your money. s. isaac dealey 434.293.6201 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:200723 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
