"Congress is considering bills that would make it a felony to be
illegally in the United States, impose new penalties on employers who
hire illegal immigrants and erect fences along one-third of the
U.S.-Mexican border. The proposals have angered many Hispanics, a key
voting bloc both parties are courting."

Ok.... so I must be crazy, but I don't see how a racial group could
get mad at this. These changes will only impact people who illegally
try to enter America, or bosses who hire illegal immigrants. It won't
do ANYTHING to legal immigrants. The only thing is impact criminals.
Are there seriously hispanics out there who thinks this is bad? I
mean, shoot, if you want to losen immigration laws, ok, I can see that
even if I don't agree with it. But everything listed above only has an
impact on people breaking the law. How can you get upset with that?
How can you view that as an "attack" on your people?

Shoot - this would be like Italians getting mad at tougher ant-mafia
laws. Not to say that illegal immigrants are as bad as the mafia, but
shoot, they are breaking the law. You may not like the law, but you
can't deny they are breaking it.

I'm still not convinced we need such cheap labor, or that Americans
wont do it. If you can't find people to do dirty work, here is a crazy
idea - pay more.
