Excellent point.  If you knew you could be activated, your son or daughter
could be activated, you would ensure that you thought everything through
before going to war.

Which keeps the people who voted for Bush from ever having to pay the price,
doesn't it? It's not their kids who are going over there.

We would be a lot more careful of who we elected if it could be OUR family
or friends who could be put in the mix.

Plus, not all service need be military, and not all military service is
dangerous. It just seems like that right now.
