No, it would put your son or daughter at risk, but not your CHILDREN.

They would have the vote. You have your vote. Use it.

Wake up America :)

More importantly, it keeps the kids for having to pay the price for their
parents decision. It wasn't their decision.

I don't subscribe to your theory because I've known women in "battered wife
syndrome" and people who constantly bitch about various problems but refuse
to attempt any kind of solution for them because they prefer the devil they
know. If I have any choice in the matter, these people will not be making
crucial decisions that might put my children in physical danger. Although
you might convince me that the public at large will spend more time thinking
about these decisions, you won't convince me that they will necessarily make
better decisions as a result.

Saying that not all military service is dangerous is the same as saying you
can bet on poker because you won't always lose. The last I checked, once you
were enlisted, the army sent you where the army wanted you. If you don't
want to risk your life, that's your tough shit, because you're in the army.
Would mandatory conscription change that? It's possible, but I'm not
interested in entertaining that possibility any more than I'm interested in
betting everything I own on a bluff with a busted flush.
