Do you have copies of performance reviews? It sounds to me like if you are considering leaving your current job at some point then maybe you need to pay specific attention to what you and your supervisor put in your performance reviews. That way you have some means of proving your relationship with your employer and evidence of the quality, quantity and level of work you performed while there.
