Globalization rules! How can anyone who has witnessed the last three decades not see the benefits of globalization? Anyone here drive a foreign car? Anyone here buy clothes, or shoes, or pretty much anything else made in a factory? How about a computer? ;-) None of us would be able to afford the quality and quantity of goods that are available to us without globalization. I defy anyone to show actual numbers that demonstrate the contrary.
Take India. Everyone freaked out a a few years ago when they realized that massive amounts of IT and customer service jobs were being outsourced to India. Guess what? Those Indian companies are growing faster than ever, but far from causing massive unemployment in the US, the outsourcing of those jobs has freed up tremendous amounts of capital that is now powering economic growth at home. The job market is better than it has been since the bubble burst. In fact, the job market is so good we are starting to see a little inflationary pressure in the economy. What would that pressure be like without globalization? Out of control, that's what.
