part of the problem is that Israel is an open society - thus incidents like
Shabra and Shatilla get discussed openly in the media. Hama Syria never
will, because at best Syria, and Jordan for that matter, are very nasty
dictatorships who have no real acquaintence with human rights or press
freedom.
