I think if given a dishonorable discharge, the public would humiliate him enough to make his life hell. Or even better, make him sign up for another 8 years of service and let his fellow servicemen come up with their own discipline.
It's just sad that when the country called on you to do your duty, you chickened out. It's a damn shame and extremely disrespectful of the men and women who died doing what they signed up for.
