This entire issue is about Wilson's OP-ED in the NY Times where he claims his report to the CIA proved the 16 words in the State of The Union were lies. He claimed the President of the US lied to the country and the world by ignoring his report. His report actually supported the claim of a purchase of yellowcake, so he drew first blood.
