I think Bush and his croonies missed the boat on this one. They did a poor job of getting details to the general public. Ask your co-workers what they know about the privatization plan. As I understood it, it was a small percentage of the overall individual's account and that money that was to be privatized would be handed down to heirs, where as your general ssn account is lost at death.
It all sounds good to me, and I think Bush is an idiot. But this was a good plan.
